ISO
9001:2000 is the current version of the standard. All requirements
of this International Standard are generic and are intended
to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type,
size and product provided. Therefore, this Standard can be
applied to product and service industries (manufacturers,
distributors, retailers, service providers, etc.).

One
Gap Analysis Assessment is
performed on your organizations current processes the requirements
of the ISO 9001:2000 Standard. This is generally performed
by the consultant during one of the initial visits to your
facility for usually one to two days. This step identifies
an agreed Scope of Registration and the Implementation schedule.

Two
Registarar Selection Assistance - KQMC can assist you with
choosing the proper registrar. We can recommend registrars
that we have worked with and are familiar with their audit
style and philosophy. KQMC prefers to work with registrars
that perform a "value added" audit.

Three
Documentation development assistance will be provided in preparing
a draft Quality Management Syastem manual utilizing all of
the data obtained in Step One.

Four
Documentation development assistance will be provided in reviewing
and editing Quality Managment System Manual with your key
staff/personnel to provide a explanation of the draft manual
and discuss any changes. This review will also include discussing
the supporting procedures/work instructions and any changes
to the implementation schedule. The draft manual will be finalized
based on the discussions and a final copy will be provided.

Five
Technical assistance will be provided in the writing, reviewing
and editing of the six mandatory quality procedures. Process
Approach assistance will also be provided in the description
of the interaction between the processes of the quality managment
system.

Six
Documentation implememntation assistance will be provided
to the organization. Once your quality management system has
been fully developed and implemented, we can provide you with
your initial Internal
Quality Audit to evaluate the systems effectiveness. This
will identify any system weaknesses prior to the registration
audit by the registrar. An audit report would be prepared
inclusive of any nonconformance’s issued with assistance
in providing solutions to any findings or concerns identified.

Seven
Pre-Assessment audit
is available to be conducted if requested just prior to your
registration audit to determine your company's compliance
to the requirements of the standard.

Eight
Lastly, a "Registrar" a third party will audit your
company's effectiveness in the implementation of the requirements
of the ISO 9001:2000 standard. If you pass this registration
audit you will then be issued a certificate identifying your
company as ISO 9001:2000 registered.
Registration
is not a mandatory requirement,
but it is definitely recommended as it provides assurance
to your customers that you have an effective quality management
system.
